How did we get to December already?ย This year has rushed past quicker than the Road Runner being chased by Wile E. Coyote. B. “Mheep Mheep”.
2024 Business Goals
In amongst client work, I’ve been busy looking forward to 2024, planning and outlining the business goals I want to achieve.
I don’t know about you, but I’m a serial procrastinator if I don’t plan and make time for things.
Here are some of my high-level business goals for next year.
- Review the quarterly % of revenue I move to my Tax, Operations and Profits bank accounts.
- Cut back on software services (licences and subscriptions).
- Complete and launch my WordPress SEO Training course.
- Continue to write up Standard Operating Procedures.
- Finish my community site using BuddyBoss as the main theme.
- Streamline the outline for my signature course WP Accelerator.
- Create a content schedule for wilbrown.com and zeropointdevelopment.com
- Plan and execute community conference WordCamp Sydney 2024.
Phew – that’s a fair bit to unpack and plan. Of course, there are more, but those are the primary goals.
Books I’ve Read This Year
I’m also an avid reader and usually have several books on the go simultaneously.
This year, I’ve read the following business books:
- 2084: Artificial Intelligence and the Future of Humanity – John C. Lennox
- Urgent: Strategies to Control Urgency, Reduce Stress and Increase Productivity – Dermot Crowley
- The Monk Who Sold His Ferrari – Robin Sharma
- The Writer’s Guide to Using Brain Science to Hook Readers from the Very First Sentence – Lisa Cron
- Profit First: Transform Your Business from a Cash-Eating Monster to a Money-Making Machine – Mike Michalowicz
I like to read a book from start to finish quickly, marking sections that I want to go back to for a more detailed read.
Profit First was an excellent read, and I pulled out so many goodies to implement in my business. 2084 had some interesting points about general artificial intelligence, but it was a super boring read.
